QIBA Professional Year Program combines both formal face to face classroom workshop learning and workplace experience to assist international graduates make the transition from university to employment, the successful completion of which also gives eligibility to apply for 5 migration points towards permanent residency with DHA.
The Professional Year Program is a minimum of 44 week work readiness program, which is gazetted by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) and managed by the respective Professional Bodies.
Over a minimum of 44 weeks, participants develop workplace skills, become familiar with the norms and values in the Australian workplace as well as the Australian employment market and workplace culture, plus complete an internship placement to enhance career prospects in Australia.
The internship component of the Professional Year Program provides an invaluable opportunity for graduates to turn theory learnt into practical experience. QIBA Interns gain relevant entry level experience from internships sourced from a diverse range of professional companies and organisations.
